Who we are

This Privacy Policy sets out how we will use your personal information and who it may be shared with.

We reserve the right to alter and update this privacy policy from time to time. The date of updates will be displayed at the bottom of this page.

 

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

 

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

 

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website , we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

As appropriate our team will access your information for the purposes as described above.We will not share your information with any third party unless required to do so by law or if we feel such action is necessary to:

  • comply with legal requirements
  • protect and defend our rights or property or those of our users

Post and Delivery

At The Rosslare Gallery we make every effort to ensure your purchase reaches you quickly, safely and efficiently. We endeavour to dispatch all orders as quickly as possible, however we do ask for your patience during busy periods. Every package is tailor made for each individual painting or art product. We have a 100% success rate with our delivery service.

You should expect to receive your delivery within 2-3 working days from the date your order has been dispatched (only for orders in Ireland). Please allow 3–5 working days for orders to the UK and EU. Parcels to the United States take 7 – 10 working days. Postage is based on weight and charged at cost. All parcels are fully insured. The Rosslare Gallery cannot accept responsibility for delays in delivery times that are caused by external influences such as national and international public holidays and postal strikes.

We CANNOT ship all of our products.

Glazed Artwork must be picked up from the gallery.

Sculptures must be picked up from the gallery.

Postage and packaging is based on weight and size and is charged at cost. We will provide you with an exact postage price for your painting once we have made contact.

FREE POSTAGE OF UNFRAMED PAINTINGS TO IRELAND.

If you receive damaged goods, please retain all relevant documentation so that an insurance claim can be made against the forwarder’s insurers. If you receive a battered parcel, note the fact on the delivery note, even before you open the package to examine the contents. Please report any damages to The Rosslare Gallery within 24 hours.

 

Return Policy

The customer must contact info@rosslaregallery.ie within 48 hours of receiving the order with an explanation or reason for the return.

The order must be returned to the gallery within 10 days of purchase.

Returns and exchanges are only accepted on items in perfect condition.

Ship returned items insured and with the packaging securely wrapped. Shipping cost is non refundable. We cannot accept responsibility for reimbursement or compensation of lost packages. We reserve the right not to accept returns or exchanges if the above conditions are not adhered to.

Please note that the cost of returning the item is the responsibility of the customer.

Please note that payment for returning the item is down to you and is your responsibility until it reaches us. Therefore we strongly recommend that you use a recorded delivery service and you obtain proof of posting. When we have checked the items returned and are satisfied that the returns policy has been adhered to we will refund your payment for the item in full within the next 3/4 working days to the original card used to purchase the goods.
